Lovebuzz is an educational game about love, relationships and sexual orientation designed and developed for freshmen. The game consists of two 50-minute classes. In the first class – The Day Before – students meet six fictional characters that are preparing for a high school party. In the second class – The Party – the characters are advised by the students as they encounter challenging and sometimes difficult situations. Lovebuzz helps teachers make sensitive subjects like sexual diversity and orientation topics that can be discussed openly in a safe environment.
The result is an intuitive game that grabs the students’ attention and triggers involvement in thinking about and discussing the topics. Bitmove developed the game in collaboration with Heldergroen and captain Video. Aside from handling the production, Bitmove played a large part in designing the user experience, functional design and usability design.
